I'm Wondering If...

Today, I've had the thought of

If I'm enough

Or nothing at all

Silence is loudest

When I don't pick up to call

My mind wanders

From the floor

To mountains

Which are so tall

Why is it we glitch

When the silence

Turns warm days

Into feeling more like winter

Than fall

Do we exchange words

And feelings

Like coveted chips

All in

No hesitation involved

It's hard to move forward

When one stalls

And can't get off of the wall

I'm standing before you

Arms open

If only you could see

The magic of it all

A pure heart waiting

For a simple beckoning call

How much more time

Do we have

No one knows

It stops for

No one at all

The night casts

Beautiful shadows

Of two souls dancing beyond the wall

If only you too could feel

The rhythm of the moment

I'm unsure if you sit

And think about me at all

Think about me

In the darkness

Miss me enough to pick up the phone and call

Alas

We live in a world

Where access is given to all

Where time is wasted

Due to Death Scrolls

Hearts are given

To others

Messages aren't shared between lovers

Instead they're penned

At first like friends

Then curiosity starts

And sin enters in

Now one wonders where you've been

I've been cleansed

Baptized in the waters

Of grace

Patiently waiting

For you to notice me in this place

I'm wondering if you ever sit

And miss me enough to call

If you miss me within your darkness

If you truly miss me at all

I wonder if the words exchanged

Carry the same value I hold

Or if I'm merely

An emotion which can be

Shipped off, sold....
